Support Smile Club and Guest of the Farm

Every donation supports the care for our animals, the resources and building of Smile Boxes, and Guest of the Farm opportunities, fueling smiles for children fighting cancer.

Donate a one-time or recurring gift to Farmhouse Friends or book a corporate outreach experience package on the farm or at your office.

When one little girl was unable to visit the zoo due to her oxygen tank, Farmhouse Friends stepped in to fulfill her end-of-life wish to spend up-close time with animals. She and her family made precious memories getting to know our animals, participating in activities, and eating lunch together.

Our goal is to open a public location so that we can bring more children and smiles to the farm.

We didn't even realize we needed a day like we had. Every detail of the day was absolutely perfect, and my soul is restored after spending a day on your farm.

Smile Boxes Make a Difference!

“As an animal lover, Alexander loved the fact that he got a package from "the farm.” His favorite thing was the stuffed animal which he added to his collection of "friends" he keeps on his bedside. Diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis right before starting his first day of school, he's been able to learn 2nd grade math while on his treatment and healing journey. With his last round of chemotherapy looking promising, we hope he can start school this fall. The Smile Box from a parents point of view, was a great distraction and reward. Seeing my child have something to be excited for when the days at the hospital are long is the best.”

“My son Weston was admitted to CHOC for several days for Kawasaki Disease and he received a Smile Box from Child Life there. He instantly lit up because he had been stuck in bed for a few days unable to get up. When he opened it, his favorite thing inside was the stuffed animal chicken which he lovingly named Buttercup. We call Buttercup his emotional support chicken because any time his nurses came in to administer medicine, he had Buttercup on his shoulder or his head. Weston has a long road ahead of him as during his short stay at the hospital, they discovered a heart defect he was likely born with and will eventually need heart surgery to correct it. Had he not gotten Kawasaki Disease, we would have never noticed the defect, so we are thankful we can be as proactive as possible. As of right now he is not feeling any discomfort or pain, but is limited to doing physical activities. The Smile Box was such a kind gesture, and the letters from the animals made Weston so excited to read and write back. I’m very thankful for it by giving him something to look forward to after his time at the hospital.”
